Teak in the shower
Teak is naturally oily and resists rot, but soap film and body oils on the surface can grow mildew. Rinse the seat with fresh water after use and let it dry between showers. Once a month, scrub with mild soap along the grain. The stool and the bench ship treated with a water based sealer.

Can teak go in the shower
Yes. Anderson lists these pieces for the shower, spa and other wet areas. Rinse and let the teak dry between uses.
Does teak get moldy in the shower
The wood resists rot, but mildew can grow on soap residue left on the surface. Rinse after use, scrub with mild soap now and then, and keep the room ventilated.
How is the wall mounted seat fixed
It comes fully assembled with stainless steel wall brackets. Fix it into studs or solid backing; on tile, have a contractor do it. Anderson rates it at 265 lb.
What seat height suits a shower
The ADA standards put shower seats 17 to 19 in above the floor. The corner stool and the Madison bench both sit at 18 in.
