Will the teak turn gray
Yes, unfinished teak weathers to a silver-gray patina outdoors. Anderson notes this does not affect strength; to keep the golden color, clean it and apply a teak sealer about once a year.

How is it shipped

How long will a teak bench last outside
No maker publishes a lifespan in years, and neither do we. The USDA Wood Handbook rates old growth teak heartwood very resistant to decay and young growth teak moderately resistant, so on solid teak the joints, the hardware and the care usually decide how long it lasts. Anderson backs its frames for 2 years in home use.
Is it better to oil or seal teak
Anderson recommends a sealer. It seals in the oils already in the wood and lasts up to a year. Oil looks warmer, but Anderson says it needs a fresh coat about monthly.
What happens if teak gets wet
Nothing harmful. Teak is dense and oily, so it dries out without rotting. Sun and rain together turn the surface silver gray over time.
