Will the teak turn gray
Yes, unfinished teak weathers to a silver-gray patina outdoors. Anderson notes this does not affect strength; to keep the golden color, clean it and apply a teak sealer about once a year.
How many people does it seat
Seats 8 as configured. The table extends with a built-in butterfly leaf.
Can I add a patio umbrella
Yes, the table has an umbrella hole with a plug for when it is not in use.
Are cushions included
Cushions are included only where listed in the box. Sunbrella cushions for these chairs are sold separately.
How is it shipped
Freight curbside delivery by LTL carrier; liftgate and white glove are delivery options you pick when you order. Inspect boxes before signing the freight bill.
How long will a teak dining set last outside
No maker publishes a lifespan in years, and neither do we. The USDA Wood Handbook rates old growth teak heartwood very resistant to decay and young growth teak moderately resistant, so on solid teak the joints, the hardware and the care usually decide how long it lasts. Anderson backs its frames for 2 years in home use.
Do I need to oil my outdoor teak furniture
No. Oil changes the color, not the strength. Left alone, teak weathers to silver gray. To keep the honey color, Anderson recommends a teak sealer about once a year rather than oil.
Is teak a good wood for an outdoor dining table
Yes. Teak is dense, naturally oily and highly resistant to decay, so a solid teak table can live outside all year without a finish.
